Help me give my students fruit cups, water, breakfast bars, apple sauce and other nutritious snacks throughout their school day.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
The specific items I am requesting make a difference in my student's learning on a daily basis by providing them with small pick-me-ups during their school day. Some of my students leave their homes early in the morning to get to school, and then have lunch towards the end of their school day. Providing different variations of snacks allow my students to keep their brains moving and gives them that extra push they need during the school day.
My goal for this project is to replenish the snack / supplies section of the classroom to provide access to nutritious snacks for my students.
My students are special to me because they motivate me every day. They strive to do their best and put their best foot forward; and this motivates me to do my best as a 2nd year teacher. My students are enthusiastic about coming to my class and being able to reward them and provide them with snacks is something that I look forward to everyday.
