Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

We will use the two different paddle boards for reading and writing. We will use these paddle boards to deliver whole-group instruction and individualized small-group instruction to our kindergarten students.

These whiteboards will be used for mapping words, manipulating sounds, and reading words.

Students will also use these boards to map out kindergarten high-frequency words. The boards with the Elknonin boxes will be used for easy word mapping, and the lined boards will be used to enforce handwriting, such as small, tall, and descending letters.

These individual response boards will assist students during phonics, high-frequency words, and writing instruction.

The different paddle boards will ensure 100% participation. The boards will allow everyone to respond and allow me to complete a quick check to see who comprehends the skills and who needs extra support.
