Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I am a school nurse in a k-8 school. We are in a rural area with the closest hospital or doctor being 25 minutes away. Our local fire and rescue are volunteers. It can take time to get emergency services to our students. I have several severely asthmatic students that often require monitoring. I need a monitor that can be seen and alarm when needed. I need equipment that can be trusted and accurate. While emergency situations are not something we want to anticipate, it is something we must anticipate and be prepared for. I want parents to know that we have their child's safety and health as one of our top priorities. Students need to be healthy, mentally and physically, in order to get the best education possible. Please help me keep our students healthy!
