Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I am a first grade teacher at a public school. My students are excited about learning and want to excel in school. I have a large range of learning abilities in my classroom. My students come from diverse backgrounds with a variety of needs. Some have autism, ADD, or ADHD, but all of the children have the same desire to learn.

My students are sweet.

They are excited and ready to learn, explore, and take on the world. They are excited from the time they get off the bus in the morning to when they leave at night.

We are requesting the most basic of supplies. Pencils and erasers are used everyday for all subjects. First Graders go through so many pencils and erasers. The feel of a new pencil and eraser can not be beat to get the brain working.
