My Project

I am looking to get back to basics in my classroom. What does that mean? Well, I am looking to minimize the use of Chromebooks and other electronic devices in my classroom. I want my students to enhance their writing skills and apply them to real world situations.

Students retain more information when they physically write it down.

Whether that is notes, class assignments, or writing prompts. Chromebooks and other electronic devices provide additional opportunities for distraction.

I plan to use the copy paper for more printed materials. For example, the students will be able to annotate easier if they write their notes on the paper. Journal entries will be completed on lined paper so they can get their thoughts out without stressing about whether they know how to type. The pencils will be the tool they need to pull this altogether.
