Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come from many different backgrounds. We have some with parental deaths, foster care children, grandparents raising children, students who are new to our country and a plethora of other needs. I want to cultivate and foster their self-esteem, how they can gain valuable coping skills, and how to learn to accept others, and learn about inclusion, kindness, and respect.

My students are struggling to get along with each other.

I am requesting books and materials to facilitate conversations about emotions and stress balls/emotion balls to squeeze when upset. I am also requesting materials to encourage outdoor, productive play with each other.
