This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My name is Tawanda Ivery, a special education educator who teaches students with autism spectrum disorder. I have over twenty years of experience teaching. I work hard to improve the lives of my students. I have the pleasure of teaching exceptional students who are eager to learn.
I am seeking to expand resources in technology.
I want my students to be able to explore activities related to literacy, math, science, and research projects. My students learn by doing. My students can participate in educational games and engage in science experiments in a virtual laboratory. They also show enthusiasm for classroom activities. My goal is to integrate technology into my classroom. Technology is an opportunity for me to differentiate instruction. I want to increase students' participation during lessons.
Technology will allow my students to work at their own pace. Please help me provide my students with the best educational resources that will enhance a higher way of learning.
